This is an attempt to share my experience so far in attempting to get permission to erect a 6KWh wind turbine on a 9 m mast in the North York Moors National Park.
I applied for planning permission in July 2006.
I was invited either to consider a smaller turbine or submit an Environmental Statement. Having failed to convince the Authorities that no statement should be required, I have now produced one and intend to submit it. I have to put up notices on my property, put an advert in the local paper, provide 9 copies of my application and ES for various authorities provide copies for the Public at large although one is permitted to charge for this.
I do not pretend that this is the definitive ES and request that your readers who feel they can contribute do so. I will be grateful for any advice.
