I am trying to find out the maximum wind speed in early December 2006, preferably at St Bees Head or alternatively any Cumbrian measurement. I have a dispute with a builder over damage to a new chimney. He claims that damage was caused by exceptional weather, I think that it was poor workmanship, insufficient for readily anticipated winter weather conditions. 1-11 December 2006 is the period of interest.
