My Proven 6kW generated 17.25 mWhs in its first year!
Installed on 24 July 07 and to 23 October 08 it has generated over 21mWhs. (Proven says it should produce 6-!2 mWhs/year) - so I'm quite pleased.
I serviced (annual) it in September 08. The main problem was that one of the lower yaw bearing bolts sheared! ( There are 4 rubber rollers with stainless steel bolts). Fortunately it was canted to one side, but still in contact with the shaft, so I'm hoping it has not damaged the upper bearing. I may replace all the bolts with high tensile bolts.
All 3 bearings were greased lightly with EP grease - and the turbine is quieter, but not quite sure why...
My only other concern is that the blade tips (leading edges) are getting pitted. Not too bad yet, but next year I will have to use some epoxy filler (boat type).
