Recycled Supermarket Trolleys

Looking for an answer on recycled plastic supermarket trolleys versus recycled traditional steel trolleys.
We are in discussions with major Supermarket chains, Tesco, Asda, etc. with regard to them replacing their large supermarket steel trolleys with recycled PET plastic trolleys. My question: what would be the main benefits of using a recycled PET plastic trolley over the use of a recycled steel trolley?
