I have a 6KW Proven Turbine. I installed it myself (on 16/3/07). To date it has produced 5000KW! At the begining I had problems with the inverter, which is a 6KW. SMA exchanged it(immediately), but this did not solve the problem. They examined the old unit, but could not find anything wrong with it. Ocassionally, it would show more that the start voltage at 250volts, which would occur at night. For example at approx. 500volts it would produce no more than 8watt.
As suggested by SMA, I connected the inverter to a Laptop, and sent the readings to SMA. They suggested the UPV start was the problem. If this value is very low and if the grid voltage is high, then the inverter will show this problem. To solve the problem, you need to set the Upv start on the value 270V. with this value the grid can go up to 255v and the problem should occur any more.
It has solved my problem, and I have no problems since.
