Issues with Nova Wind 6 kw
From initial installation, the turbine’s brakes were adjusted 3 times before our first turbine was destroyed in a storm, following the failure of the brakes, subsequent tail fin breakage and complete destruction of the turbine system.
Our replacement turbine suffered from the same issues, resulting in 4 more brake adjustments, with no success in rendering the brakes usable for any more than a few months at a time. We were supplied with a strengthened tail fin arm to help to reduce the likelihood of the tail becoming detached as per our first turbine.
Our controller developed a fault which Nova-Wind has been unable to assist in addressing to this day, rendering the turbine unusable for most of the past 12 months.
One of the bales has “de-laminated” in under 12 months of operation, and remains defective to-date.
Overall, our turbine has operated for fewer than 3 months between adjustments, inspections and “fixes” being made. It clearly has no track record of operating in a stable manner, despite all best efforts.
Despite Nova-wind being established to develop, manufacture and market small wind turbines with the highest performance and quality, our research shows that there are only 3 of these machines left in the UK and none of the Nova-Wind 6kW machines have operated satisfactorily since they were installed, further assuring us that our experience of your machine is far from a unique one.
Nova Wind's website claims that it's distributors and installers are experts that are supported by the "nova-wind" Support Helpdesk to make sure that all your questions are answered quickly and in the unlikely event of a problem this is resolved as quickly as possible. We have not found this to be the case.

The company the warranty is with the agent in the UK but if we bought a German car the warranty would be with the manufacturer not the UK dealership...
