Could you combine an CHP boiler with an ASHP, to maximise returns.
Just an idea, but if you had a CHP domestic boiler that you ran day and night on a low heat output but generating one KW electricity.
Then you could combine this with an ASHP that heats the radiator circuit running of the from the energy CHP boiler.
This would then produce the majority of the heat.
Thoughts?
Would you be able to get the RHI and the FITT?
