I object to the final sentence under Other Information.
Is there anything I can do about it or should I just leave it?

The North York Moors local plan is here and was adopted in 2003.
Though I've not read through it, nor the specific "Town and Country Planning (General Development Procedure) Order 1995" I assume that there's some clause in one or the other that pertains to your application. I can't imagine it's just the opinion of the planning officer that's caused the "Other Info" part of your notice to be worded the way that it is.
My own experience with my local planning office is that they're quite particular about the way they phrase things - they seem to have a set of stock wordings that they are required to use. |

Hi
Why not contact "Planning Aid" it is a charity that will give you free advice. I can see why your upset they do appear to be very negative, before they have even examined the application.

Hi Stuart, Thanks for the enquiry. The date for decision is 15th Feb at the NYM Planning Meeting. I attended the Local Council Meeting last Wednesday. Unfortunately due to some cock up they didnt consider my plan so I'm trying to arrange a site meeting with a quorum of local councillors. I must say that 3 out of 8 seem positively in favour. The public consultation period runs out on 26th Jan. The only request for more information was from the Scarborough Borough Environmental Officer who wanted more information about noise so I sent hime the Proven Noise report. My average wind speed is now up to 4.6 m/s for 7 months readings. This month its over 8!! with 66% hours over 7 m/s. Nov and Dec were 35 and 37% hours over 7 m/s. --Regards, Nigel Wilson kinderson |

December and January have been fantastic for wind. I have made a MWH in under six weeks.
You would have made loads in your location had your turbine been up. I am glad it looks favourable for the 15th. Good luck
All the best |

Hi Stuart, The Chief Planning Officers recommendation has been published on the Moors Website. I attach a copy. Refusal is recommended, not a big suprise. The Parish reps are meeting at Pinfold tomorrow morning so they can make some input. If you have any further advice to hepl my case it would be most welcome. Nigel -- kinderson |

Nigel
I found the recomendation through the web ( your link is not working) and I have to say it did seem very harsh. You had lots of support and they didnt have any technical problems with your application. Just this preception of it damaging the environment with "kinetic movement" at the edge of the village. This is so short sighted, because without these types of measures the moors are going to be greatly affected by Climate Change. To protect the environment they need to support you. I hope the councillors will be more logical and go against the planners recomendations. I hope you will appeal if you are turned down. All the best Stuart |

6KW turbines have been permitted in other National Parks, mine was, as far as I know, the second successful application in the Lake District (with a 15m tower, the other being 9m) and there have been approvals in Northumbria National Park. I suggest that you search through National Park Planning applications/decisions on their web sites and let North Yorks Moors know that they are out of step with other national Parks. -- Simonridout |
