Just wondered if anyone had the inside line on this, which I saw cited on another forum ...

thought first this was the same 1

http://www.wind-watch.org/news/2009/11/21/wind-blades-fell-in-school-yard-raasay-children-sent-home-after-50ft-turbine-collapsed/

also here half down the page

http://lifeattheendoftheroad.wordpress.com/2009/11/07/putting-the-brakes-on/

both this 1 and original 1 are proven 6 kws at schools and have nearly killed kids which is scary

funny how 1 on rassay has black blades and white covers

wonder if they have fallen of before and been changed with diff color

I don't think it can be the same. Apart from the colour, my article reads as if the turbine is being installed for the first time, not as an accident while in service. Its probably over stating to say "nearly killing kids". It looks to me as if the accident was improper procedure during the erection, and the area was cordoned off at the time.

no ur right enough. the other 1 is on raasay in scotland. just thought when i first saw it that it was the same 1

kids on raasay got sent home from school so there must have been some preceived danger for them and i do wonder whats the point of barriering of an area but leaving ur van there when it doesn't need to be! if they do that then you wonder how good the rest is cordoned of!
