What sort of insurance is available for a domestic Wind Turbine?
What sort of insurance is out there for Wind Turbines? Can you get cover for storm damage, lightning strikes and public liability with your home insurer, or are there specialist companies who will provide cover?
If so, how much is a typical premium?

Very good question Peter. One I worried about a lot.
I was told and got in writing from my Lloyd's insurance policy that the turbine as a garden structure was covered by insurance. I had to go along way from the call center that initially answered the call but in the end got through to a lady in the UK who said I was fully covered. |
