Perhaps a lesson of what happens when VCs get involved who really don't understand the business. I feel extremely sorry for Gordon Proven, who created a good business and helped to place small domestic sized wind generation on the map.

A collapse like this is bad for the industry and particularly their customers and dealers. One of the reasons I purchased a Bergey rather than a Proven was the consistent stories of poor service - even when seeking to purchase, they failed to answer my emails efficiently. The troubles seem to have stemmed from the time they received a very large input of VC capital to pump them up.

Hopefully, people who now really understand the business will purchase the business from the Administrator and a Phoenix will arise from the ashes.
