Hi , I've had my Iskra R9000 up for a month now ( same as the AT5 , just cosmetic changes). I did a truckload of research , including looking seriously at the Proven 6. I paid more like 25,000 - which was the same as quoted for the Proven 6. I went for the iskra since it seems to have better power curve ( under 7m/s) and I was restricted to 5KW input into the grid by my electricity company - watch this - they tried to limit me to 4KW unless I spent 10,000 upgrading their transformer. We've got a good site - apparently 6.5 - 6.8m/s . In a not particularly windy month we've generated 820KW , & only bought £23.00 of electricity in ( family of 5). So in this very short sample time its doing what its meant to . I'm hoping to generate about 10,000 / year. The Evance "estimate" for this windspeed was 12,000+ , we'll see.
Mooing - yes it does , no complaints from neighbours yet , but definately MOO'S at several different frequencies , and could be annoying - I've mentioned it to my installer & I'm going to monitor it. Blade noise: Sounds like a helicopter is landing in the field ( 100m from the house) in very windy weather , otherwise just a rythmic whisper. Nothing can be heard from inside the house. Am I happy so far? - delighted ( but skint) ....Jamie
