One of the salient points about this is locality and thankfully here in the Highlands the Council supports a charity to accept dud appliances. So we have only a short drive to their depot where parts are scavenged or complete fix-ups are done.
One could start asking how Green the recyclers are but that would be nit-picking compared to where we were a few short years ago.
