I get the distinct impression that these things are intended to operate at ground level, not up a tower.

That's one aspect that bothers me - the effect of turbulence and wind shadowing with such a low elevation.

I'm also not at all sure how these are intended to be oriented with respect to the wind direction - the video seems to show the example being statically mounted, which at best would seem to give it only a quadrant's worth of capture.
