Wind Energy Discussions

Roof-mounted devices, turbines in your back garden and wind farms.

Some of our members have recently started logging their KWh output on a monthly basis in a shared Google Spreadsheet.

Follow that link above to take a look at the data directly - the auto-generated legend on the charts themselves is unfortunately a bit too small to read.

If you'd like to participate, email webmaster@renew-reuse-recycle.com and tell us what your Google account email address is so we can add you.

The raw data is also available as a .CSV download.

Note to contributors - please continue to input your data via Google's Spreadsheet as normal, don't attempt to modify the .CSV and re-upload it - you'll overwrite any changes made by other people.

I have just posted this on the SMA web site and await a response

"On the Windy boy you clearly want a short T Start(10s) and a longer T Stop (300s) to maximise output.

Hello to every one,Is there anyone out there with any knowledge or opinion on this machine?
Their website is a little short on actual photographic detail and as with all new developements there is nothing in the way of user feedback.
Im told it is basically the Mistral type beefed up.

Anyone have an opinion on this approach to wind turbine technology?

I can't find any performance figures on their website, and although there's a YouTube video of the thing in action, the commentary is in Swedish.

As anyone who owns a wind turbine will tell you they turn almost all the time but only start generating at a set wind speed. In my case when it is outputting over 255volts.
