The BBC made a documentary series about the experiences of a family who moved to Cornwall, into a derelict farmhouse, and embarked on making the place as environmentally sound as possible.

The website contains news and information about their adventures, both during and after the filming.

If you can get hold of a copy of the series, it's well worth watching.

Gaia-Wind was a Danish company, however since the start of 2007 our headquarters are in Glasgow.

We manufacture and install an 11 kW wind turbine, especially designed for low to moderate wind speeds.

With some 150 turbines installed (mainly in Denmark) we have a well established and positive track record.

Last year we installed our first turbine in the UK (see attached article) and over this year we plan to install a fair number of them in Scotland and the rest of the UK.

The Hockerton Housing Project is the UK's first earth sheltered, self-sufficient ecological housing development. Project members live a holistic way of life in harmony with the environment, in which all ecological impacts have been considered and accounted for. The residents of the five houses generate their own clean energy, harvest their own water and recycle waste materials causing no pollution or carbon dioxide emissions. The houses are amongst the most energy efficient, purpose built dwellings in Europe.
